NWSABR member and Corvallis resident Mark Armour has recently finished a book, Joe Cronin: A Life in Baseball, published by the University of Nebraska Press.  It is a standard biography of a man who rose from the streets of San Francisco to baseball star to manager to general manager to league president.  Events are scheduled on April 22 at Annie Bloom's Books in Portland, May 11 at the Benton County Library in Corvallis, and May 21 at Elliot Bay Book Company in Seattle (joint appearance with Steve Steinberg).  For more information, visit Mark's web site: http://mark-armour.net/Joe_Cronin.html.
