Welcome to the Lefty O’Doul SABR Chapter!

HAPPY 2016- Hope to see you more often this year!

The Lefty O’Doul Chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research has been meeting and enjoying baseball since 1983. Our chapter welcomes everyone who is passionate about any aspect of the great game—whether that’s stats, stories, ballparks, history, collecting, or a particular era, team or league. If you love baseball, then you will find friends who share your passion here in the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area.

The Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) was founded in Cooperstown, N.Y. in 1971. Its mission is to foster the research, preservation and dissemination of the history and record of baseball. Its programs encourage the study of baseball, encourage research and literary efforts to establish and maintain the accurate historical record of baseball, and to encourage the preservation of baseball research materials.

You’ll meet baseball authors and writers, collectors, Pacific Coast League historians, statisticians, storytellers and folks who just love the game.

Join us for a ballgame or a ballpark tour, meet us for a drink and some baseball talk, or come with us to visit exhibits of baseball history.

Share your love of the game with us and we’ll share ours with you.

You can join SABR online, contact us for more information, or check out our Facebook page or Twitter feed.
