The Society for American Baseball Research's Boston Chapter will have an informal gathering with author and SABR member Mark Armour in June. Save the date: June 25, 2010

Mark Armour will discuss his recently published biography of Red Sox shortstop, manager, GM, and American League president Joe Cronin, "Joe Cronin: A Life in Baseball".

He will take questions and have signed copies available for purchase. Armour is the founder and chair of SABR BioProject, to which many Boston members have contributed. He spent his childhood in Connecticut and several years in Massachusetts before moving to Oregon in 1993, so he is well-versed in New England's rich baseball history.

We'll gather for a pre-event drink at 6:30 PM, then dinner at 7 PM. The Red Sox are on the west coast for a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 10pm -- so plan to stay and watch the inter-league contest!
