Reilly, Department of English,Saint Joseph's College, 278 Whites Bridge Road, Standish, ME 04084-5263, 207-893-7930, invites expressions of interest in submitting an essay examining the relationship between baseball and a specific aspect of American society for a collection of essays, Across the Diamond, Essays on Baseball and American Culture, to be published by Haworth Press.

Completed essays will be due May 1, 2001. Anyone who is interested should send as soon as possible one or two paragraphs describing a specific topic and approach and a paragraph about his/her relevant background. This material may be emailed to erielly@sjcme. edu but must be within the message rather than as an attachment.
